697. Godfrey Apologizes to FBAs | Dave Anderson, Dante Nero, Akeem Woods, and Vishnu Vaka

Yeah, no, it's all good, man.

I think one of the main things aside from that is making sure that people understand that we're beyond just one particular thing.

A lot of times it's, well, you know, we all get stopped by the police because the cops look at us a certain way and it's just like, yeah, okay, but, you know, somebody else's bigotry doesn't mean that there's not a difference.

Like, There's so much beauty in all of our cultures that needs to be celebrated.

But when it comes to us, everyone wants to say, well, we're being divisive and we're being divisive.

But my whole thing is you're Nigerian American.

Your parents, if I'm not mistaken, fled from the Biafran war.

Yeah.

Right.

You've got Igbo and Yoruba fighting each other.

Last I checked, y'all look just alike.

Like, we've got South Africans kicking Nigerians out of the country who are there illegally.

Black South Africans kicking them out of the country illegally.

You've got Haitians fighting Dominicans all over the place.

And when you look at everybody, we all black.

We all the same.

That's right.

But when it comes to us now, there's division.

And it's like, no, there's division on the continent.

There's division throughout the diaspora.

That's how white supremacy works.

All the time.

That's always the point of white supremacy.

And then, you know, my whole thing is even when we kicked it, I was like, I think what's crazy is the thing that I...

Like, I understand, you know, being FBA, and I've had, like, I've had, I remember saying this chick on my job.
