Or like, "You're not complete, but if you get this, maybe this person is going to, like, pay attention." I don't know.
And the way that you do it, you didn't like, "No, you're enough, but you could, uh, protect yourself, like your skin with this." You know, like, that, that's beautiful, and I think, um, ads should be more like that because it's, it's absolutely horrific what's, what's happening there.
So I just thank you, John, because that, I remember that, um, ad, the, very well because I was like, "Wow, this is so different." Like, it's like the opposite of everything.
[laughs] You know, everything is like, like, "Oh no, you need to be prettier.
You need to be perfect.
You need-- You don't have enough.
You will never be enough until you get this." And, and in that one, it's like, "No, you are," you know? And- I love that, and I wish we had more of that.
So I love that, that you're like on our side and also, um, doing these immense, um, ads, and it's, it's beautiful.
So thank you
He was.
But, well, he's part of the reason why women have low self-esteem, because they feel like they're not enough, and therefore they need Dove soap.
Okay.
That, that, that ad is, is a little bit-
Sorry
... you'll, you'll hate this truth, but this was 25 years ago, and the reason that women who, um, you know, were not in shape started wearing leggings, uh, we measured was a- attributed to that ad, right? That's, um...
Except then, as everything, it goes overboard, and then you have people like Adidas promoting a woman that looks like she's 400 pounds on their ad, um, which, you know, if she was anorexic, people would have flipped out.
Um, but it's still promoting unhealthy, unhealthy habits, which I think is absolutely ridiculous.
But with anything good, people always take it to an extreme, and that's what winded up happening.
No, the, the way you, that you did it was perfect.
Like, the ones from Dove weren't insane.
They were like a, a normal person who looked-- she was beautiful.
She wasn't ugly, you know? But they made it even, like, all filtered, you know? And like, yeah, I-- Beautiful, beautiful done.
