I've gone out and, and did a bunch of live shows because you told me I should do that.
I just thought, listen, a- as, uh, uh, on the business side, touring is a very good business, and it's very difficult to sell a lot of tickets, to motivate people to leave their homes, put on pants and shoes, get in their cars-
Like, it's never lost on me what an effort it is, especially in, in our, like, the some...
And I was like, "I, I know you are someone that could get people out, but I also know, you know, you carry people through good times, bad times, times when their, their knowledge is exploding, and they're learning, and they're curious." And, and I, and I think it's just meaningful for people to be able to see you in person, and be like, "He's a real guy," to see you in th- in 3D, and to get to share that.
And also, I'm sure it's important s- they, they can say to you, like, "You literally changed my life," you know? Like, "I never thought I could do this.
Y- you've done so much for music [laughs] and, and, and the, the, the proliferation of music knowledge and, and love of music that..." I just, I hope none of that's lost on you, because it is a remarkably big deal, especially in a world where so much content c- it just feels like fast food.
I started out, if you, if you were to say, "What is your channel?" When I first started out it was like a mu- a teaching channel.
And, uh, and I appreciate large r- like, a large range of music from, from popular music, to rock music, to jazz, to classical music, and I talk about all different types of music.
M- some- some of which, pop music, to the dismay of people that watch it that wanna hate everything about contemporary music.
