Thank you, Paul.
So before I started listening to the Week 10 video, I had quite a strong question, which came from my eldest 16-year-old child about how bad religion is.
And I went like trying to argue, but kind of going, no, I also don't like religion.
But American, I was like, that's not religion.
Or that is religion and that's why I don't like it.
It's like looking at it and thinking, I just felt uncomfortable with religion, man-made religion for a long time.
And I always say I'm not very theological.
But I have a very strong... sense of God with me and so all this course is kind of making sense to me that's been really nice and then listening to week 10 I was like haha it's kind of saying the same thing there's religion and then there's this this feeling or this knowledge but we still refer to the Bible and it's just that kind of what is it about you know I kind of go is the Bible the religion or is that separate I just think man-made.
It's like we pick and choose bits of the Bible, I guess, and it's kind of a set of rules depending on your denomination.
And people kind of lose the faith bit and the joy and maybe follow the thing.
And it's a bit like Baxter saying about the committee and the jobs and trying to manipulate people into doing the thing.
And the last church I was at, there were...
the same people doing everything every time it's everywhere isn't it everywhere you go in society the same people volunteer and do this but it was um yeah i'm not just i didn't get to the end of the video so maybe i'm you know this confession maybe it all makes sense but it's um kind of where does this trinitarian faith stand with the bible with christianity i'm still a christian But is that the religion?
I'm kind
of going, I'm still a Christian, I still go to church, but I don't believe in religion.
Does that all line up? I
think it's a good question.
And
