Lakers DOMINATE Warriors in Opener! | Kessler's Perfect Debut | Luka & Reaves Deliver

Let me kind of first talk broadly about the win, and then I'll go into Walker Kessler.

Broadly, this is what I will say.

That was a very, very impressive win, period.

And I'm not one, and I don't think there's too many people that think that the Golden State Warriors are going to be good this year.

I think what you saw tonight is going to be the trouble that the Golden State Warriors are going to have this season.

I mean, how many times did they pan over to the bench? You saw Jimmy Butler's in there.

Jimmy Butler's an absolute stud, one of the elite players in the league for a number of years.

and having him on the bench and not having Moses Moody and not having Pajimski and not having, who else, Kristaps Porzingis, like this ain't their team.

So I kind of walked into tonight's matchup saying to myself, hey, I really hope the Lakers kind of dominate this game.

I hope they kind of put their foot down a little bit and show that, yeah, that team, whether they're injured, whether they're hobbled to start the season, we don't care.

Like the Lakers are trying, they got their own path.

They're trying to figure out their own.

You know, you got nine new players on the team.

The Western Conference is going to be really competitive.

But overall for me, I thought all 48 minutes were really, really impressive by the Lakers.

Specifically in that second quarter, they outscored The Golden State Warriors, 32-19.

They outscored them 36-16 in the third quarter.

So when the game was kind of still up for grabs, the Lakers absolutely dominated.

When I say up for grabs as in Steve Scurr's not benching Steph Curry halfway through the third quarter, these guys are obviously still playing.

It's funny because Steph got off to such a quick start.

and looked unbelievable to start out the game.

I think he had, if I remember right on the broadcast, maybe 16 of the first 26 points came from Steph Curry.

Or I'm sorry, 16 of the first 22 points came from Steph Curry for the Golden State Warriors, and then they pretty much just kind of shut him out after that.

So I just thought overall for the Lakers, from a team perspective, it was just a really, really nice win.

I don't know if you guys want to see this, but I'll do it anyways.
