It's FINALLY Happening... | Daily Hawks News & Rumors

But, oh, I don't know, bad news or I don't know.

I'm not exactly sure if this could be somewhat, I won't say fortuitous because you never want this, but Henry Vissar has torn his right ACL during a summer workout.

He did it September 15th.

He's going to undergo surgery here in October very soon.

He, you know, was all ACC.

We've talked about him before.

17 points, eight rebounds, two assists, 1.2 blocks.

He's a good outside player, good inside-out guy.

And the tough part is we're only a couple weeks away from starting our preseason schedule, and this is going to definitely sidelight him for the entire season.

It's not, I mean, from a young guy's perspective, man, brutal.

Just haven't even played an NBA game yet, and to have an ACL surgery just is brutal.

We do have a real, let's say a rostering issue at this point.

I'm not exactly sure.

If you have a guy out for the season, I don't, how does that eat a space on your roster? I mean, you have to be able to put him on the inactive list, right, for the entire season.

I haven't been able to find anything about that.

It should be an easy question to answer.

But I'm not sure how he counts against the cap.

But it's definitely going to put our depth in question here.

We've got Gay is still out.

He's out until mid-November.

We've got Zuby, Asa, and Onyeka, you know, Jock Landale.

Some of those bigs are still going to be fine right now.

But we're definitely going to be missing, you know, depth in that spot.

Also, you know, we really kind of, the value for Jock Landale in that one-year $14 million deal was the fact that if Henry and some of those young guys started playing to a level and capacity that, you know, we didn't need that salary, he was an easy one to ditch at the trade deadline being, you know, being a veteran that we could move.

And, you know, it's an expiring deal.
