We have a ton of cap flexibility to save that money on an actual difference maker, right? And look for value in when it comes to bigs.

We've got Gay, we've got Onyeka, we've got Landale.

We've got serviceable bigs that we can use in different lineups, different, um, you know, depending on if we're going offensive-minded, defensive-minded.

So we've got the bigs, and do we wanna lock up 40 million plus a season on a guy that frankly was kind of a no-show in the playoffs last year with Detroit? Like, he kinda, and not, look, he was All-NBA, um, All-Star, tons of upside potential with Jalen.

This is a time to, like, stop messing around, uh, take, you know, become a, a more intricate part of the Hawks rotation to kinda be a l- be way more of the toughness that we need down low." Um, you know, Onyeka's not known for his physicality.

Uh, Gay, not, not either in terms of strength, but known for athleticism.

You know, Zubie, I think, is a little bit of an X factor right now because we know he has the strength.

He just maybe not ha- you know, he has somewhat, some of the size.

He's on a one-year deal, and, you know, we're paying him a lot of money.

And so you can see that in his mind, he got traded from Utah, and it was kinda like, "Okay, I don't really know what to expect, and now I know moving forward what is expected of me, what I need to do, what I could do." So I love that because, to be honest, you know, o- one of our, our big question mark right now is with the bigs.

You know, is Gay gonna come back 100%? Onyeka, is he gonna be able to, you know, he's not ranked super high in the league when it comes to starting centers.

And is Landale gonna be able to come in there and actually be effective and, you know, set a tone that we want down low? We have so many athletes.

If you look at the roster, I mean, if Onyeka's hurt, then it's Jock.

And then who's behind him? Mohamed Gueye? They've done that in years, but they haven't been great if Mo's the only big.

And also, they've got, like, so many fours.

I think of the fours, Zooey's probably the best chance at playing the five.

But it's definitely going to put our depth in question here.

We've got Gay is still out.

He's out until mid-November.

We've got Zuby, Asa, and Onyeka, you know, Jock Landale.

Yep.

Mohamed Gueye can play.

Yep, Boston likes Jordan Walsh as well, so that's another-

Uh, Buddy Hield is another one that could be on the block there, and, uh, Mohamed Gueye.

We've talked about that one at length.

It just, Kispert's contract is 14 million.

Like Mohamed Gueye's timetable for returning, I haven't heard that it's changed.
