Grant and Justice bring you what's on tap in the world of sports, sponsored by Liquid Trucking.
Lot of different things to choose from, uh, in the college football world tonight.
Hmm.
Uh, we d- we didn't get a chance to touch on hoops too much, but I've, I've told you this, Justice.
Mm-hmm.
It's like i- i- if you can't pass the ball as well, if you don't have a big who can do that and distribute in that Fred Hoiberg offense, which we've seen each of the last couple of years between Brink Mast, Derek Walker.
If you can't get somebody to pass on the level, not necessarily equal to either of those guys, but in the neighborhood, might as well just get the biggest guy you can have and put him out there to affect shots, to be a rebounder for you, uh, to be a pain for other teams to even have to account for on the glass, and to get you points down low.
And right now, I think after watching the first scrimmage, the guy that caught my eye the most doing those things was actually Leo Curtis.
Boden Kapke will get some extra shots, uh, and some opportunity, I would assume as well.
Yeah, and for Boden Kapke, that's gonna be massive because you're going up a- against a old, experienced BYU front court between the former Michigan State man, Jackson Koehler, and Jake Whalen, who's a transfer by way of Clemson.
They've got some nice bigs, but you, you touched on Leo Curtis a little bit.
Me and my buddy were talking about this when he first came on campus, and you said, "He's got the skill set.
He's got touch.
If you ever get his body right, boy, is that gonna be one heck of a center." And right now it feels like he's starting to come into his own.
He's got...
He's always had the touch.
Now he's starting to expand upon the physical profile and getting his body right for the demands and rigors of what a Big Ten schedule can truly be.
Between him and what Damon Wilkinson can offer you, see what Boden Kapke can give you if he has a bounce-back performance tonight against a good BYU front court, man, you could be looking at a nice complementary rotation in that big room.
