Let's talk about news and notes for this week.

We'll jump right into some injury news.

Julio Rodriguez, Seattle outfielder out on the concussion IL.

Zach Giloff was reinstated from the IL last week, might be going back after a collision with the wall on Thursday.

Connor Griffin, the Pittsburgh Pirates prospect, is headed to the I.L. for what looks like an extended period.

And Mark Vientos, the Mets infielder, broke his hand.

He's headed to the I.L. as well.

A couple of impact bats here, Scott.

Where are you going and what are you doing with these guys?

Yeah, so let's start with the last one you said with the Mets.

So that's Vientos hitting the IL.

Vientos was playing some, but not a ton.

It was very on and off, mostly against lefties.

The return of Jorge Polanco over the last week probably helps resolve some of that.

So I think, you know, Brett Batty, who's been fine the last couple days, he'll probably still get a little bit of time.

And Jorge Polanco will help fill some of that gap as well.

Jared Young should get a little bit of extra time.

None of these guys are guys that I'm really caring about in 12-teamers, but in 15-team and deeper, maybe you care.

Zach Giloff, that's a huge bummer.

I saw that injury while I was watching the Tigers game.

It didn't look great, but it's a collision thing.

It wasn't like he twisted his knee and went down in a heap.

like when I tore my ACL and MCL, it was more of like he literally slid into the wall, like a big jut out on the wall in left field.

So hopefully he's okay.
