Schefter: Can the Packers Get a Tucker Kraft Deal Done?

I think we all feel pretty confident saying that getting bounced in the first round of the postseason, because we're all sort of punching the Brewers ticket to the postseason because of how well they've done in the regular season, would be another epic disappointment for this Milwaukee Brewers franchise.

In fact, I could make the argument, guys, that getting bounced in the NLCS would also be a disappointment for this Brewers team, which is why, ipso facto, carry the one, Chew, I'm ready to say it's World Series or bust for this Milwaukee Brewers team.

Because if you are going to be the best team in baseball for the duration of the regular season, if you're going to win regular season series against the Dodgers, against the Cubs, against the top teams in the National League, how in the world could you settle for anything less than a World Series appearance from this squad at this point?

I, I would agree.

I know if they lose to the Dodgers and whatever again, I'm gonna immediately go to baseball's unfair, 'cause it is.

I mean, outside of Roger Clemens coming back, you know, like, for the Yankees and Astros toward the end of his career and just, like, pitching half of a season to make sure he could be healthy for half the season into the postseason-

That's kinda what the Dodgers have been doing.

"Oh, we're just gonna stash some pitching over here, stash a couple players over here.

Oh, September's around? Look, suddenly everybody's healthy." And now they're gonna be able to pitch their best and play their best going-

I, I mean, for a team like the Dodgers, they probably don't even care about the regular season 'cause their guys are gonna be healthy.

They don't care about the one or two seed.

They're like, "All right, we got six pitchers, pitchers that would be number one or twos on every single roster in, in MLB, so..." And, you know, position players to back that up.

They don't care, you know? But I agree with you.

It's like, okay, they always say or they used to say, you know, you- the first time you go or make a run at it and get pretty far, you gain that experience, and the next season it should be easier for you.

That's how I look at this team.
