We're recording this Labor Day weekend where the hottest team in baseball over the last 10 games, not the New York Yankees, not the Cleveland Guardians were right there in the playoff hunt.
J.D., when you're in the middle of all this, what is the thought process? Are you thinking about the other teams, or is it a day-to-day thing when you're at the yard?
I played with a lot of guys that knew the next 10 starters in a row that were pitching.
For me, it was just like, all right, I played for that day and that day only, recover after the game, and then moved on.
I was ready for it, but it wasn't something where I was, like, planning ahead for.
But right now, when you're winning games, like, you just want to keep winning.
And I think another thing that was huge from this past week was they beat Cleveland and took the season series tiebreaker away from them.
So if they're able to both get in there at the same record, I think that's very important.
