11/18 We check in with all of our new Socialist leaders around the country and boy are we in for it right now

Before we begin to start the beginning of the start of the show, that the only reason I'm here this week is to talk about Play for Patrick.

And along those lines, I received a wonderful email last week while I was sitting in the, uh, woods.

"Kenny, I took my son Jack to the Play for Patrick event on Roseville on Saturday, had him screened, all good.

Great event.

Volunteers and staff were awesome.

The posters..." Now, this one, this one would get to me too.

"The posters talking about the kids lost and those who had close calls with cardiac events-"

Mm.

"... were hard to read." Yeah, indeed.

"I talked to Mike while I was there.

I advised him to put in a liquor bar so the parents could sit there and get loaded while the kids go through the screening.

Mike didn't think that was a great idea.

Lots of kids, boys and girls, getting screened.

It was really making a difference and good to see." That comes from a guy we all know right there in the building, a friend of ours.

And, uh, I was relieved that he brought his kid in.

I wish everybody, including you, Chris Reivers-

Yes, sir.

... would get your kids into one of these Play for Patrick screening events.

I am planning on doing that at some point, uh, during the basketball season.

I'm absolutely gonna be doing that.

How does this all fit into Give to the Max? I'm glad you asked, Joe, because this week in Minnesota is Give to the Max Week, and all week long Garage Logic is supporting our fellow GLer and buddy, Mike Schoonover, and the Patrick Schoonover Heart Foundation.

As many of you GLers are aware, the Schoonover family lost their son, Patrick, I believe ten years ago today, at the age of 14 during a hockey game due to two undiagnosed heart defects.
