[snaps fingers] I wanna start, though, with something in the news this week that actually didn't get as much attention as I thought it should have, and this is partly because this almost happened last week, and then at the last minute it didn't.
Um, so very quietly, especially for, for him, he signed this executive order on Tuesday with really no fanfare.
There was supposed to be an event last week with a bunch of AI CEOs and other bigwigs, um, and then at the very last minute it got canceled, partly because Silicon Valley folks, David Sacks and others, were lobbying and saying, "No, this is gonna kill innovation.
So he didn't sign the executive order, which would have called for a 90-day period during which the government could review the most frontier AI models for cybersecurity risks in a voluntary program.
So he did sign something on Tuesday, which is a 30-day, again, voluntary program.
The- they'll share their models, their most advanced models, with the NSA, that's the, the agency that's gonna be in the lead here, uh-
The NSA is gonna be reviewing it for cybersecurity stuff, but also it's like this also has domestic stuff.
OpenAI models that have shown that they can find, you know, major vulnerabilities in some of the world's most critical software.
And so that's sort of what got the Trump administration to reinstate, frankly, what the Biden administration had already done.
