Alvin Kamara returns to practice ahead of Saints opener - Cam Jordan ruled out

And Wednesday in the NFL is like a Monday because that is really the first kind of main practice of the week for the team as they get closer and closer to a Sunday game.

And the Saints were certainly on the practice field today.

I was there.

A lot of news happening in the last few hours here, which we're going to get into.

Some good, some not so good, some really good.

So we'll get into that in just a second.

But first things first, I'm excited.

Are you excited and ready?

I'm so excited.

Five days until the Saints season officially kicks off and we can see Tyler Shuck and Chase Young and all the guys in the starting lineup that we haven't seen since early January.

So it's a lot of reasons to be excited from that to the fact that the first unofficial depth chart was released this week.

Team captains were named this week.

The first injury report of the season dropped today and we're going to get to all of those things.

But first, Sean, You were the one out there today, in the building, at practice, feeling the energy on Metairie, on Airline Drive.

How'd it feel out there?

Man, I got to tell you, there's always a genuine excitement for week one.

There's always a genuine buzz, feeling.

You know how it is.

It's football season, and it kind of, that feeling of fall, even though it's hot outside.

But there's still that feeling of fall.

And when it's fall, it's football season, and it's such a way of life for us down here.

So there's always an energy and excitement.

And I just got to tell you, man, the vibe just felt so good out there.

I was out there for practice.

We were able to watch the first 25 minutes, I believe.
