Rev Sam Bostock wraps up the series as he looks at Jesus' closing statement, His final charge and question. Deuteronomy 32 vs 1 - 18; John 5 vs 41 - 47
And that reminds us, as I said last time, of the question Jesus asks in this chapter that I've been asking over and over again in this series.
Do you remember the question Jesus asked to the paralyzed man? Do you want to be healed? The heart of the problem
is the problem of the heart.
Firstly, verse 41, he gives a bit of a clarification that we'll come back to later on.
But he says, verse 42, I do know all about you, that you do not have the love of God in you.
And now he says to these people who prize themselves on being people who worshipped the one God, he says, you don't actually love him.
