Join me as Dr. Rally Wolford and I read and discuss poetry.
Um, but yeah, so let's, um, so we're definitely going to read some poetry on air, but I'm curious to know, um, like what got you into writing and I'll share my experience as well.
Yeah, so I did start as a writer in general in fiction before getting into poetry.
And there is, I guess, an artistic dimension to writing that I didn't quite – I mean I already knew that writing can be artistic, right? But there was like a flavor of writing, if you will, that I didn't quite – tune into until i mean maybe like three four years ago right so my interest in poetry is relatively new oh
um
but it has it has been intense right it's like that discovering something new and it's just like
it's like falling in love yeah it is it is so this is your courtship and that's this is the honeymoon phase it's
hate it soon but
Yeah, I mean, the more recent project, creative project I'll be working on once the current one comes to a close at the end of the year is going to actually involve a lot of poetry.
Oh, that's very exciting.
Yeah, wow.
Okay, so it's cool that you're just recently discovering your love of poetry.
Myself, I started a long time ago.
I was in the sixth grade, and I might even read this poem.
I still remember the very first poem I ever wrote.
It's absolutely hilarious.
Yeah.
But I was in sixth grade and my teacher wanted us to write about what we did trick or treating.
It was like right after Halloween.
And I'm like, we didn't go trick or treating because my mom wouldn't let us because it was snowing.
So I said, I asked her if I could write a poem instead.
