So today is the day...
Actually, today is not the day.
We're about a week, uh, about, like, th- three, four days from the day.
Josh, DC has had its issues, has had its hiccups, um, but one thing that the DCU, um, is failing to do is get the attention of any general audience.
Well, we're gonna explain all that, right? We're gonna talk about it.
We're gonna obviously talk about how we feel about all that stuff and everything like that, because obviously there's more to this picture than just what we're gonna talk about, and that's just Supergirl.
So we're gonna go ahead and start a little bit in the back, make our way to the present, and then go ahead and talk about the future towards the end of this episode.
And to be honest, the DC, the DC Universe, not just the DC Universe, but James Gunn, Peter Safran, uh, the two CEOs, uh, co-CEOs that are in charge of DC Studios right now, are kind of in a, in a weird spot, okay? So let's, let's talk about it.
Let's talk about it.
So Josh, we remember way back when, before 2023, the, the reboot to the DCEU that turned just taking a letter out of the [laughs] the thing and just saying-
Right
The DCEU has been struggling since 2013, okay? Man of Steel came out, BvS came out after that, and then, oh shit, it is struggle, a struggle-thon has happened.
We've talked about this multiple times.
If you guys wanna go even into more detail about that, hey, go listen to different episodes.
We've, we've broken down DC multiple times.
Uh, it's had some hits, some misses, some major misses, some really good hits, and then you had some cast members completely break down towards the end of their run.
It's, it's a phenomenon that I didn't think I was gonna be able to see through twice in my lifetime, but here we are.
