Swamp Thing

By the way, I, I think I've mentioned this on the, the show before, but I, I researched this a little bit at one point.

Um, obviously, Alan Moore's run on Swamp Thing has close parallels to Davidson's Swamp Man scenario.

Mm-hmm.

Prior to Alan Moore writing on the Swamp Thing, uh, title for DC Comics, uh, Swamp Thing was, like, a man who became a monster in the more typical sense, but Alan Moore recast the character as, in, in, in a very Swamp Man way, being completely destroyed and recreated in the likeness of, uh, the previous individual.

Hmm.

And as far as I can tell, no one is entirely certain, certain on how and to what extent these two were actually connected, um, and of the two, only Alan Moore is still alive.

So [laughs] maybe it's entirely possible that the two were completely unaware of each other.

think swamp thing didn't this happen in swamp thing

yeah maybe in there um Yeah, Swamp Thing.

I think Alan Moore did that with Swamp Thing.

But she's doing it now, and she's calling on this parliament of trees that was in Swamp Thing a

long time ago.

But the reason why she's doing it is kind of...

Aquaman is confronted by I believe that's Animal Girl.

That's not, and Swamp Thing, an animal girl, her name is, do you remember her name? It's Animal Man's daughter.

She has a name.

It's because we saw

The last time we saw Maxine Baker, she was a friend.

Jeremy Adams scripted her as one of the friends of Irie West.

uh in the pages of flash so it's really great to see maxine baker back as animal girl and i like i like that he they they put the what looks like sort of an a most people might mistake that symbol as an aquaman symbol on on her costume but a lot of people might look at this and mistake her for mira or an older and it's not that's animal girl and that's swamp thing and so Animal Girl is sort of like a keeper of the red power.

She's got the power of the red and Swamp Thing is the power of the green.

Do you know her from Swamp Thing? Because that's what I know her from.

I mean, I think later in life, she became more like sort of like sci-fi royalty where it's like people know her from early sci-fi.

So it's like she will lend credibility to the movie if you get one of these actors.

But yeah, I know her from Swamp Thing.
