Ep 3 Burn of the Everflame: Chapters 25-31

Chapter 25, Diem.

Nadara shows Diem around Igneo City, and things are not looking so good.

They've been attacked by Ophi, and to top it all off, their oasises are now undrinkable and they've had to pawn off their palace's knick-knacks so they can buy food and clean water.

While they've been here, Sarai gets a moment with her boo thing, Tybalt.

Turns out it's not just descended males who get jealous of someone else being with their female.

Before heading back to Luminos, Diem extends an offer to the Igneos descended to come back to Luminos with her just until she can fix the oasises and kill Ophiuchi, of course.

Chapter 26, Diem.

Diem tries to make godstone and fails.

Okay, one more try for good measure.

Still nothing.

Well, it's back to the drawing board for that, especially since the Kindred don't even know why the Ever Flame turned into godstone.

Oh, wait, was that supposed to be a secret? Whoops, sorry, not sorry.

Diem struggles with the weight of the world on her shoulders, so she decides to barge into the library to find Doriel and set [laughs] shit on fire.

Help me.

Maybe a little extreme, but we have to get answers somehow, damn it.

Okay, it turns out Doriel and their minions had nothing to do with Diem's father's murder, but the poor book suffered for no reason.

Chapter 27, Luther.

Luther has been handling requests in an attempt to help out his queen, but that also means he doesn't get to see her as often as he would like.

During some downtime, Luther talks to Lily because in times like this, even Teller deserves some grace.

Poor Teller.

If only Diem would grant Luther some grace too and put us all out of our misery.

Poor Luther is trying to help Diem in her tent, but Diem hides herself from him.

But not all hope is lost.

She holds onto his pendant and thanks him.

Oh, chapter 28, Diem.
