Turn with me to John chapter 3, and it's a scripture that you will know very well, but I just want to underline the point of the salvation that we are enjoying this morning.

and we will enjoy for the rest of eternity, is born out of a supernatural encounter with a supernatural birth.

John chapter 3 and verse 3. but the Spirit gives birth to Spirit.

You should not be surprised at my saying, you must be born again.

The wind blows wherever it pleases.

You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes.

So is everyone that is born of the Spirit.

so to get into what we're into to be a part of God's family to be a Christian we have to be supernaturally born again it is more than put our hand up in a service it is more than respond into an altar call there has to be a supernatural transaction with our dead spirit to come alive so that we finally become God conscious and God alive on the inside as well as on the outside the Bible says that we have been supernaturally translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light and if you want a scripture for that Ephesians 5 and verse 8 there's been a transaction that has taken place the Bible says we were by nature the sins we were by nature the children of wrath we were dominated by the principalities and the powers of this life Ephesians 2 and verse 2 says but we got translated.

We came from the kingdom of darkness and we came into the kingdom of light.

We took upon ourselves a new boss who we talked about three weeks ago.

No longer now boss Satan, but we are now under a boss, the Lord Jesus Christ.

And He's our Lord and our Master and our Friend.

And this was a supernatural action of the Holy Spirit.

The Bible says that we have been supernaturally brought from death to life.

2:25

So we have something inside of us this morning that we did not have when we arrived on the planet.

We have an eternal part inside of us that has come alive to God.

2:36

The Bible says, yes, we were dead in trespasses and sins, but now we're alive to God.

And He has put inside of us eternal life.

This is absolutely, fundamentally supernatural.

And so the Christian life that we're talking about, in partnering with a supernatural God, starts at salvation.
