DumTeeDum - A show about BBC Radio's 'The Archers'
May 31, 2026 · 1 hr 2 min · 22 segments
This week’s podcast is presented by Jacquieline and Theo. We hear from: - Love Jazzer’s singing, with thoughts on the fall of the house of Aldridge - Glyn, with thoughts about Alice’s pivotal role…
[instrumental music] Hello, lovely people.
So Too Long; Didn't Listen.
Anyone who thought the Ambridge world had come to an end after last week's revelations from Brian will have been sadly disappointed by this week.
Adam is still the dullest man in the village.
Sausage boy and Natasha are still fearful snobs.
Carol Bogen is still totally one-tracked about her independence.
Tracey is still a jolly good egg, and Kate is still the single most self-centered person ever.
There was cricket.
Brad played for the other team, and Lindy Bottom said she'd enjoyed it.
Bert went off at the end of that with Clive, who was clearly after his pension.
Susan told Tracey off for letting Bert move out, but begrudgingly admitted he seemed to be doing all right at Clive's.
Kate gave him grief about the future of Spiritual Home, which he returned in spades, and then she reminded him about poisoning the amp.
It was all very teenage girls slapping each other ineffectually, I thought.
Kate can't manage without the partnership's money, so that's not gonna end well.
Adam's week got worse and worse.
He was still turning up for work at Home Farm and presumably still being paid, but then was not allowed to make any decisions.
He's fallen out with all his half-siblings, including Debbie, patient saint of Hungarian farming methods, and then by Friday, Brian had sacked him.
Never darken my doors, fist-waving, get off my land territory.
Lillian tried to talk to Brian, but in the end raged against him and his disregard for Jenny Darling and their no longer 50th wedding anniversary.
The Grubrails turned up at Carol's and Anna said, "I told you so." Carol told her to push off, and though she's very clever in court, Anna is an also-ran in comparison to Dead Richard, her brother, who was reincarnated in the form of Alan Franks.
Kate is going for an interview to be a skippy at Grey Gables.
We will see what she's like when she gets started.
