Steve LetiziaHostSo yeah, like I said, we're going to do one thing slightly different here at the top.
You know, we've been alternating odds and evens, but because I wanted to go ahead and change things up at the top, I'm going to go ahead and take odds.
So sorry, Steelers fans, if you're tired of hearing my insights for where we're going after, you know, one week of the NFL season.
So all that preface to say, every mock we've done, which is three so far, we've done Arch Manning at one.
And I just think it's time we explored something where Jeremiah Smith went number one overall.
One, because the Miami Dolphins, I don't think Malik Wallace played absolutely putrid last week.
Like you're not like excited about that necessarily going into year two, another year of at least.
But at the same time, the fact that we could even ask Jeremiah Smith or this quarterback, who's the number one player in this class? That kind of tells you everything you need to know that this guy's probably the best player in the class.
So let's go Jeremiah Smith and just say, hey, yes, Miami does need a quarterback in the future, but in this quarterback class, yes, you know, Arch had the big comeback win against Ohio State, but I still don't know if the tape right now is like slam dunk, generational, Andrew Luck, Trevor Lawrence, don't even think about it, level of number one overall pick.
So I wanted to leave things off with Jeremiah Smith going number one for the first time here on the Draft Capital Podcast.

Yeah, I mean, I think it's a worthwhile exercise to explore for all the reasons, you know, you said.

And with Arch Manning, like we talked about on the last pod, the stock up pod, we thought he played pretty well, all things considered, against a very tough defense.

But the national narrative is still that he is not really the generational prospect that he was built to be.

And the national narrative is going to be driving things in September of, you know, nine months out of the draft.

So I think it's a worthwhile exercise for sure, just to see how things kind of shake out differently.

So now in this scenario, I'm on the clock with the Browns and the Browns are...
