I think the Falcons are more likely because Cleveland, as long as Deshaun Watson's standing upright, Jimmy Haslam's putting him out there.

That he'll do whatever it takes to go get Arch Manning, to bring him to Cleveland.

So I'm judging Todd Munkin this season on two things.

One, the development of the young players, and two, does he look like he's the right head coach to lead this team into this next era that's whether it involves one of these quarterbacks or drafting a quarterback, leads this team into 2027 and beyond, which is what Andrew Barry and Jimmy Haslam have been harping on endlessly.

So, Ashley, that's my answer here.

And maybe...

Like, are they getting those different looks? Are these young players being used like Casey Concepcion? In a variety of ways.

And, like, does it look like, okay, we're maybe a franchise quarterback away from this thing? Now, that has been, of course, the perennial problem.

But I do think that is ultimately... going to be what success is and I mean again it's not crazy to say when the Vegas set the win total at five and a half wins now Jimmy Haslam encouraged people to take the over but I don't know how many people realistically are going to be wanting to do that with this football team because they are young and unproven so I think when you've had the last two drafts that these guys have had that's sort of where my mind went to first as well.

Yeah, and I don't say that in the sense of like winning doesn't matter because I do think part of development is learning to win and being in a culture where winning is prioritized, right? And sometimes you can prioritize winning and maybe it just doesn't work out for you.

It's all about parity, don't you see? If Woody Johnson were competent, the Jets, it would just feel like you're just waiting for your number to come up.

And this goes for you too, Jimmy Haslam, over there in Cleveland.
