Kj Bolden

He said so last week.

We said KJ Bolden not being in would be a massive detriment to this team because the type of game Florida is going to run and the type of things that Georgia's coaching staff saw.

This week, it doesn't take a master's level mathematician to figure out trends on what Ole Miss is going to do.

Throw the ball and huck it deep, and we're going to need our corners to sit on the islands if we're going to go ahead and get pressure on Trinidad.

So some of the names in recent years that have gone very high at safety include, of course, last year, Caleb Downs and also Dylan Thienemann.

This year, you've got Ty Benefeld from LSU, KJ Bolden from Georgia.

And then you get into like a class of guys that can all do things a little bit differently.

differently, and you've got some big body types.

Ty Benefeld is the most intriguing one to me, Mel.

KJ Bolden might well be the first one taken in this year's class, but Ty Benefeld is such a unique player, just a gigantic specimen of a human, not as tall as Kingston Lopa from Cal, who we talked about.

a few shows ago with that insane on-ball production that he had, a five-interception and three-game stretch at the beginning of the year for the Cal Golden Bears.

Benefield, though, comes from Boise State to LSU this year, a big transfer for them.

Safety? I don't know if they're going to move Budu Baker.

KJ Bolden is still probably the best safety in this class.

You have Kingston Lopez, Tay Johnson.

Kind of like has the top three been all year.

Chuba has been a running back one for this team all year long.

I think you've got to continue to improve the defense.

yeah as much as i would like for them to get a tight end here um i think there's two like ellis robinson chris cole kj bolden and kelly jones are all in play here i think chris cole would be a monster for this team and i think chris cole is gonna have the rise of like sunny styles like around this range or even like about two weeks ago he was like a mid to late round one pick like there's a chance chris cole is going like sunday styles range from last year 20 dallas I mean, this team, this team, man, I got to go defense.

I'm going to assume they're going to extend Joey Porter Jr. Caleb Downs is a rookie.

A couple things I wanted to point out just additionally.

One, I thought K.J. Bolden helped kind of set the tone late in that first quarter.

I think the final play of the first quarter was, squaring up and hitting Jaden Ball.

There was kind of that question, how is KJ feeling? Is he going to be up to the moment? And he showed right there that he was and made a good play there.

I think Georgia's got to do that.

I think that There's a bit of a defensive chess match that's probably going to be going on a little bit with...

Glenn Schumann, Raylan Wilson, K.J. Bolden, against what Ole Miss is trying to do offensively in Trinidad-Chambers.

I think K.J. Bolden's the guy.

Let me give you an example.

KJ Bolden playing through pain on Saturday.

To my eyes, playing pretty well.

And Kirby Smart in his postgame remarks on Saturday talked about KJ from a motivational standpoint.

not just being famous and being on TV and having blowhard podcast hosts talking about you and things like that, but actually getting into the grit of it all and actually getting out there and fighting.

Sounds like Georgia's got some defensive linemen who want to be that way.

Sounds like KJ Bolden wants to be that way.

And it also kind of comes down to, hey, who wants to make themselves better? Who wants to look around and say, you know, I'm not good enough as I am.

Bulldogs have him in the crosshairs this week.

Another tremendous challenge for both Trinidad facing an elite Georgia defense with Chris Cole, K.J. Bolden.

Some of these players over there would be a big challenge for Trinidad, and he knows that in preparation for the game on Saturday.

And then Bulldog defense understands the challenge also.

That front is just incredibly good at getting home and not letting you get into your passing game.

Their passing defense for Georgia is 32nd in the country in yards allowed per game, but guys like Ellis Robinson, K.J. Bolden is now healthy.

He is back.

He played last week against Florida.

get a scout on.

KJ Bolden might have somebody similar in Notre Dame.

But Notre Dame, it feels like the opposite of Miami, by the way.

Good trenches, stout guys, but playmakers and QB.
