REBROADCAST: "Mookie Is Spookied"

Mookie is spookied.

It's been a long couple months without Mookie Betts.

As the Dodgers boarded a plane to Milwaukee to kick off a road trip on Sunday night, they had been Mookie-less for almost 60 days.

That's nearly a third of the baseball season.

Oh, no,

no, no, no, no, no, no.

Ever since a four-seam fastball from the Royals, Dan Altavia drilled Mookie's left hand and fractured his fifth metacarpal, leaving the Dodgers down one of their most beloved and productive players.

Got to spend some good quality time with my family, something that I've never gotten to do since I was 18 years old.

So it was good to get to see my kids for two months straight.

And you also got some reps in the broadcast booth.

But now finally, at long last, Mookie is back.

I'm sure it's exciting for you.

Yes, it is.

I'm happy to be out of the house.

While the Dodgers survived without Mookie, maintaining their first-place position in the NL West, there's no doubt they're much stronger with Betts at the bat.

And our man Mookie wasted no time proving the point on Monday night in Milwaukee, smashing a two-run home run in the third inning to start the Dodgers scoring against the Brewers in his first game back with the boys in blue since Father's Day.

Let's roll the tape.

This is blasted.

Left field indeed.

On the track, at the wall, Mookie Betts, back with a bang!

Go, Mookie, go.

Betts also stole a bag and drove in an additional run in the Dodgers' 5-2 win over the Brew crew on Monday.

And he made a nice little play in right field, gloving a well-hit ball off the wall to hold Jackson Churio to a single in the bottom of the sixth inning, which helped preserve the Dodgers' lead and secure a win for Clayton Kershaw.

Hey, I told you this was the season of Mookie Betts.

How did it feel to be back out there? It felt great.
