They both started giggling, saying, like, yo, the Mets killed their whole identity by getting rid of Pete Alonzo.

It's a shame, though, because, in my opinion, they got rid of Pete.

And then the news comes out that Blake Snell's hurt.

So Will Smith in the top of third gets an RBI double to bring in Mookie Betts.

Mookie Betts was awesome tonight.

Then Ellie hits his homer, which we're going to talk about here in a bit.

They give the Reds a two-run lead, bringing in McLean.

what your needs are and where you have too much surplus, and then just kind of going from there.

Same thing with identifying positional scarcity as well, because if you've got an area that you definitely need to address, say you've got an aging Mookie Betts at shortstop and you don't have a shortstop in your system.

Maybe you try and move off of one of your extra outfielders to acquire a, you know, a middle tier shortstop, like a Cooper Pratt or somebody like that, and then you have backup in case Betts kind of falls off the world.

And so things like that are all different aspects of it.

If Boston.

If this was Boston and Mookie Betts comes back to town and he hits the walk-off home run, what are they doing? Because then Mookie left and won for the Dodgers.

And that was visceral anger.

Because it is Heimblum.

He's not made great contact over the last four or five games, but maybe tonight he'll get it started.

So it's Edmond, then Mookie Betts, Will Smith, and followed by Freddie Freeman.

With the lefty going tonight, Josue DePaula is not going to be in the lineup.

And I think he's come to learn he's not in Kansas anymore.

Beyond that, though, all year long, the Dodgers' offense has sort of been hit or miss.

I understand when you have a guy like Otani and When you have Freddie Freeman and when you have Mookie Betts, who's been hitting a whole lot better lately, it's a pretty good place to start.

But I just think a lot of their offense this year has been inconsistent.

And if they run into the right pitching, whether it's the Phillies or the Brewers particularly, there are teams that have the right pitching in the National League.

Is there a cold winter coming for them at some point with the age of their team and how much money they've got tied up? Is there a stretch in what you've now all you've uncovered and talked about with what's going on with the ownership and everything? Is there a reset that will be happening with the Los Angeles Dodgers in the future? I don't even want to say near future, in the future?

You know, I think that there's going to be an interesting transition over these next couple of years, because as you said, Freddie Freeman, contract up after next season, 36 years old.

Mookie Betts, tied up for a while, but 33.

And the Dodgers weren't playing great.

They had those defensive miscues in the day and – Mookie at short flipped it incorrectly to Edmund at second.

But either way, it's like the Brewers are the real deal because they have Miz and then they have other arms.

I'm not there yet with the Brewers, fellas.
