sure yeah so um i have a new story and then like a short little addendum to it that's related to things you guys talked about last month obviously i too am angry about the xbox layoffs and all of that nonsense you don't have to get into all of it again but uh on july 17th after that dust had settled i think like a week later bethesda put out um a post on their website about like the future of bethesda game studios and so that's the news piece i brought today i'm not going to read through all of it but basically it gives updates on starfield uh you know what they want to do for the players which mostly sounds like empty promises and the future of fallout um the biggest news coming out of this is that the team that did fallout new vegas is taking on and had done outer worlds and um what was the other one recently, the fantasy game, I'm blanking on the name of it, Avowed.
They did Avowed.
So that team that did all of these great games that I really liked, and New Vegas is my favorite Fallout, is now coming back.
They announced they're still doing the TV show, which will... coming out with a third season next year, and then they also had an update on Elder Scrolls, which wasn't really much of an update, just kind of saying, hey, we're still working on it.
It exists.
It's a thing that'll eventually happen, and then saying that the road ahead... you know, we're going to keep working hard, bringing you that great stuff.
And I don't know.
I'm curious to get y'all's opinion.
But when I read through all of this, to me, this reads like someone trying to reassure investors, placate gamers and not really like, look, I love that.
I love the team that did New Vegas.
New Vegas is one of my favorite games of all time.
I absolutely love that game.
The fact that they're doing a mainline Fallout game, especially considering how much I love Devowed and The Outer Worlds 1.
I still need to play the sequel.
Like excited for that.
I think that's such a cool announcement, but it's completely bogged down in corporate speak of like, hey, we want to reassure you we're not going anywhere.
Xbox hasn't screwed us over, even though they had layoffs just like everybody else.
And so like, it's just it to me, it reads like corporate BS, but I'm curious how you guys feel.
Yeah, I think that's definitely fair.
years ago.
They had that announcement of just like, yes, we're working on it.
And I think at the time I was like, oh, I don't know, Brian, maybe they'll surprise us and it'll come out next year.
