Does History Discredit Christianity? with John Dickson - SUMMER REPLAY

It

wasn't the weather.

No.

Well, no. No.

No.

So Sydney's, you know, pretty okay on the weather front.

And we live by the beach, so it wasn't the weather.

It was the way Wheaton described what they wanted.

And they wanted someone who could help American Christian leaders navigate the unchristianing of America.

And I think what they had in their head is, you know, Dixon has been engaging with a very post-Christian country for 25 years.

And so, you know, maybe he could come and help.

So that was the pitch.

And the teaching load was just about right.

They wanted me to keep doing my writing and speaking and podcasting and documentaries.

And so it was, in the end, pretty hard to resist.

And I've loved America for so many years coming here and have lamented how some kinds of Christians have responded to the dechristianization.

Either retreating or just getting angry and turning up the volume.

And I hardly need to tell you that that's not really the way.

Right.

So that soft spot I've had for America just coalesced in this amazing opportunity that they've given me.

So we're having a ball.

We've moved our family here.

And I actually, I love America.

It's probably truer to say I love Americans.

Fantastic.
