Colts Beer: 53-man roster review with ColtsCLYDE from The Sick Podcast Anvil Show

Yeah, I mean, let's jump straight into it.

Obviously, 53-man roster landed on Sunday.

I think we've seen a couple of changes since then.

Yeah, I mean, what are your overall thoughts, Clyde? What were kind of big surprises in that land?

I'll start with the first one.

Honestly, the first one, even though I think he's a great guy, I got to talk to him last year at training camp.

I did not see DJ Giddens making this active roster.

I thought that, first off, our kid Castle from Duke, I thought he played pretty good football, ran pretty hard.

I thought Ulysses Bentley played.

Play pretty good football.

But then it was very interesting to see that even after the 53, we put Bentley on the practice squad and then X team off the practice squad and picked up another running back.

So that was just really interesting to me.

I know Bentley had he had some some protection issues here and there.

But I thought that when he got his opportunities, he was pretty serviceable.

But, yeah, D.J. Giddens would be my first shock, right, on the offensive side.

And I don't know if you want to go position by position or you just want to give me a – you want me to do a summary first and then we go position by

position? Let's go position by position.

I mean, I'll jump in as well with you at running back.

Yeah, I was surprised about Bentley.

I thought special teams would have got made – would have seen him make – over DJ Giddens, who hasn't really shown any of that in his time.

I know there's been injuries for Giddens.

So I guess it feels like to me Giddens is kind of that like valid draft pick where he doesn't kind of want to let it go yet.

So I think he's probably going to be on a short leash, right? I think we'll see how it goes and we'll go from there.

But yeah, I was surprised.

We did predictions last week, Clyde, and I had Bentley over Giddens.
