He made it over guys like Derek Nottie, who didn't make the team.

I'm thinking that not all of them are going to dress, with most likely Curry appearing in street clothes.

At defensive tackle, it's going to be Ade Adebare backing up DeForest Buckner with Jerry Tillery and Tim Smith behind Grover Stewart at nose.

No big surprises there.

At linebacker, Akeem Davis-Gaither and Jalen Carlisle are going to get the first crack at it, but like we've been talking about, Lou Anarumo is expected to go with a rotation at the position that could include all six linebackers on the roster, but I expect Taj Chambers to serve merely in a special team's role.

Tim Smith has, has made, leaps and bounds growth from last year and they're actually doing some good gap work so the key is if you only have two linebackers on the football field you cannot allow your d tackles to be on their toes there's no chance to read and react like and that's what i think and i'm getting all over the place but if you look at cj allen and what people didn't see or what they didn't like during preseason They didn't see a lot of action plays.

Well, he was playing behind guys who, when the ball was snapped, he was catching them like cam ball, man.

My God, I really had, I really felt Kim ball was going to be a solid guy.

It's like, let's not keep running them out there.

Like I've seen enough, like he's good.

And to your point, I actually thought Tim Smith, especially last preseason game, i actually thought he looked solid like when you compare when you're seeing him next to the other guys he's playing with he was the guy making plays so i wasn't upset about tim smith tillery i mean We'll still see.

Obviously, you know, we'll maybe get into it, but we have no tackle depth on the offensive line right now, so I think we'll feel like there's a move coming.

I thought that was a really cool thing to see and certainly earned.

Same with Tim Smith as well.

I thought he certainly played himself onto the roster.

I just didn't think it was going to happen because he was playing in the fourth quarter of all these games.

Maybe some other guys didn't, but he did.

earned his place on the team.

So I was happy to see that for Tim Smith.

The O-line cuts were a little bit weird, but there's always one position group every year that the Colts commit to having a wealth of those guys on the practice squad, and they're just going to rotate guys that they call up as their depth.

That was not an easy one.

I don't know as much as Colby as it was more about Tillery and Tim Smith.

Those two kids, they played better.

Tim Smith now, I'm proud of him.

You know, he's drafted from Alabama, had his struggles last preseason and really even into the year, you know, but we stuck with him.

He kept working and then just kind of a light came on and he played his ass off the last.

three weeks of training camp, and I think he was our leading tackler the last game.

I'm really proud of Tim Smith, of where he's at and where he's going.

Obviously, the most surprising move of the week was the Colts releasing Colby Wooden, the player they acquired for trading Zaire Franklin this offseason.

They released him in favor of Jerry Tillery and Tim Smith.

And Chris Ballard was asked about that.
