Matthew is the director of the Project on Criminal Justice at the Cato Institute, the libertarian think tank.

So suddenly, I mean, Flock cameras, the automatic or automated license plate readers, have been around a long time, but it seems like this is the summer of Flock.

[laughs] There are people that kinda snapped out of their sleep and said, "Oh my goodness, what are all these little black boxes hanging from light poles and the corners of buildings and in standalone kinda, you know, mounts? What are they doing and why, why are they collecting this information?" And so give our, our listeners and our viewers a little Flock camera 101.
