Republican House candidate Sheila Medeiros is now asking justices to reconsider their September 4th ruling.

They ordered a special election with District 43 incumbent Kanani Souza after the women tied in the winner-take-all primary.

Yesterday, an appeals court blocked his attempt to impose a suite of intense restrictions on mail-in voting before the midterms on the grounds that the president doesn't have the authority to regulate states' elections.

No doubt Trump will appeal that one up to the Supreme Court, as usual.

However, the Supremes just rejected a Republican-backed election map in Missouri that Trump would have loved for them to use in the midterms.

But the Supreme Court has actually rejected this congressional map twice on the grounds that Missouri voters first need to vote on that map in a statewide referendum to make it permanent.

The problem is that they're actually past the deadline to finalize the ballots in Missouri for November, and now they will have to use a different electoral map in November than they did in the primaries.

And the courts didn't really give the state any guidance on how to handle that, so it should go well.

over congressional maps in Missouri has reached a new level of intensity, with the state's high court opening a contempt probe into Secretary of State Denny Hoskins.

The Missouri Supreme Court late Tuesday issued an order asking Hoskins, a Republican, to explain why he should not be held in contempt for violating a rule last week that said the state cannot use a newly drawn GOP map.

Despite the ruling, Hoskins continued to push to use the new map.

The court also ordered Hoskins to appear in person when the judges next hold a hearing in the case.

The state court order came after a flurry of court activity on Tuesday.

First, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected a last-ditch appeal from Hoskins seeking to use the new map, which seeks to eliminate a Democratic-held congressional seat in the state.

Soon after, a federal judge in Missouri issued a new ruling saying the state is required to use the new map, setting up a dispute between federal and state courts.

Litigation in that case continues and could soon reach the nation's highest court again.

The federal judge handling the legal battle over new U.S.

Postal Service mail ballot rules extended her block of the rules for the November midterm elections in an order issued on Friday, again finding them likely unlawful.

With nearly 55% support in Tuesday's election, Voters approve state question 846.

The state question posed by lawmakers asked voters to amend the state constitution to require voter identification and give the legislature the ability to enact laws later to specify ID requirements.

Missouri officials urge the Supreme Court to reinstate a congressional map.

That includes an additional seat for the Republican Party.

a long and difficult legal battle.

On 9th September, Bibi Kalra filed a writ petition, writ petition number 497 of 1995, in the Supreme Court for the illegal abduction of Jaswant Singh by the police and his release from illegal custody in which Ajit Singh Sandhu was directly named as an accused.

Senior advocate of the High Court, Rajvinder Singh Benz, courageously had the High Court send a warrant officer and got an order to identify Jaswant Singh Kalra in police custody.

The warrant officer conducted raids in the Chabal and Siraha Lee police stations, but police were tipped off about the warrant officer from their sources at the High Court, which is why the warrant officer returned empty-handed.

On 15th of November 1995, the Supreme Court ordered the CBI to investigate the case of Jaswant Singh's abduction, as well as the allegations made in Kalra's report on unidentified and unclaimed burnt bodies.

Along with this, the Supreme Court directed all the concerned police officers, including the DGP of Punjab, the Home Secretary and the Chief Secretary to provide all necessary assistance to the CBI.

30th October 1996, the CBI filed a charge sheet before the magistrate at Patiala against nine officers of the Tarantaran District Police, including the SSP of Tarantaran, two DSPs, four SHOs, one ASI and one head constable.

Shockingly, the CBI decided to complete its investigation without arresting any of the accused.

We are also awaiting a separate Supreme Court order on whether the Trump rules on mail-in ballots can proceed for use in the midterms.

The implications are huge for the upcoming midterm elections, since about one-third of voters cast mail ballots.

The administration calls this common-sense measures to ensure voter integrity.

Who? Can you tell me who? Who's going to come in and save you? Well, I'll appeal it.

What, to the blue appellate judge? I'll appeal it again.

What, to the blue state Supreme Court judge? Oh, I'll appeal it to the Supreme Court.

Do you have $500,000, a million dollars for attorneys? And then you're going to put it in John Roberts' hands, who also is one who says, well, what will happen if we actually do the right thing? So we better not do the right thing because the consequences of doing the right thing are bad.

And this is not hyperbole.

I mean, from some of the lowest levels of local government to the president, right? I mean, and obviously everything in between, from the executive branch, the legislature, the judicial branch, Supreme Court justices.

I mean, it goes on and on and on.

And so less like Sisyphus, we'd be doomed to try and push this great tombstone that is masonry up the hill over and over and again, only for it to roll back down and crush us.
