Buckets is back with a look at the first round of the 2026 NBA Draft! Action Network NBA betting experts Matt Moore and Brandon Anderson team up to give their thoughts and insights from what we saw on…
... because it's d- like how deep into the draft before we got anything that really caught us off guard? I guess probably Marais a- at that nine to Dallas was the first, and even that was like, "Oh, the other Michigan guy," to the new Michigan coach team.
So yeah, uh, you know, I kinda said going in like, "I, I'm doing pizza bets on long shots here and just kinda betting against certainty and intel." Well, the intel was, was bullseye on everything.
How, how many years has it been since the Paolo draft? Is that like three years ago now, four years ago, when everything kept flipping around like the last 24 hours? I was right directionally on Jaksa Lenderberg, got the under, but missed the top 10 by a spot.
Had a Corey top 20, but missed the top 15 by a couple spots, so, you know, not, not my finest.
I think it's that I can always be like, "Oh, I see why the number one guy's going number one," and the number two is always where I, I always have question marks.
I'm like, "Really? You're gonna take Chet Holmgren? Really? Really? Really?" And then because he's like, "Absolutely, we're taking Chet Holmgren." Um, and with the Jazz, I was like, "You're gonna pass on Cameron Boozer when your dad worked there, and like, like he's such a great fit and like he's the better player?" Yeah, no, we're gonna pass on him.
