**Opener:** Thief's Market **Closer:** 3D printing and game aids/enhancements During the summer I always get in plenty of gaming…but not…

First, I'm gonna talk about an opener here, and the opener is for a game called Thief's Market.

And this is a dice drafting game that I got to play the other night, and it's gonna come up a little later as, um, uh, when I talk about a game night.

So I thought maybe this is a useful opener to talk about in case people aren't familiar with it, as I was not.

I was not even familiar with the designer, although I know he has a number of design credits to his name.

Probably Get Bit is the one he may be most famous for, but he's been involved in some other things.

And, uh, when it got brought out, it was brought out at least partially with me in mind.

Me-- This is another bit of foreshadowing for this episode about what makes a game that, that either I think or other people think is a good fit for me.

It is a dice drafting game, and it has a neat, um, kind of I divide, you choose mechanism, although not exactly like that, and I thought it was pretty interesting.

You know, when you collect them, they have resources, and those resources will be used to buy cards, which give both some special abilities to transform the dice, but also scoring opportunities.

And actually, that whole back half of the game, kind of back half the way I described it, the scoring and the cards, I was, I was, um-- thought that was just okay.

But the dice drafting was really fun, and I don't know if this exact mechanism has been anyplace else or if, uh, it reminds people of other things.
