i've read about it giving some people motion sickness so you can turn it off it has an option in the menus oh nice um but i've been i don't i think i got used to it after a while um and i don't i don't know who i'm gonna side with or not but the main story is there is a uh i'm not gonna remember her name uh there's a woman who basically had like a pirate fleet i You basically, like the beginning of the game is you infiltrate her fortress, you find her, and then she flies off.

And you're trying to prevent her from getting something that everyone thinks will destroy the world.

And a chunk of the storyline is you finding some of her old crew to get clues.

And a chunk of the storyline is all the side stories you have to do in the interim to kind of get from point A to point B.

Hmm.

They have a potion you can drink that reveals secrets in the world, which...

So it was a GTA 6 type situation where it is suddenly, it was every other game in that particular window was just, thrown to the side and hell is us barely stood a chance so it is on ps plus extra if you already have that uh subscription and uh and for 10 pounds if you don't i think it's an awesome uh get but yeah check out some footage and see what you think and maybe watch the opening cut scene because you can watch me play it if you want the video of me playing it is on the youtube channel because it was one of the first grab bag let's play type things that i initially put together uh last year when it first dropped so if you want to check the game out i would recommend especially the intro because i'm super cool thing And the next section is the Overlooked Games of the Week 2 from DMBlan, who says, two games, but also not.

Harvest Moon, Friends of Mineral Town, and its post-Natsume remake, Story of Seasons, Friends of Mineral Town.

Been playing the remake that has a ton of quality of life updates to the game, as it's actually a mix of the PlayStation 1 Harvest Moon, Back to Nature, Harvest Moon, Friends of Mineral Town, itself a port of Back to Nature, and Harvest Moon, More Friends of Mineral Town, where you play as a female on a farm and romance the bachelors.

Ha ha ha! But even the original Game Boy Advance Harvest Moon, Friends of Mineral Town still holds up really well.

I used to love Harvest Moon.

And it's funny, again, you go back to 2016 when Stardew Valley blew up.

And it's not that I devalued Stardew because I have over 100 hours in Stardew.

It's like bringing together all these different crafting mechanics and survival mechanics to a degree.

And what has happened over time is they've just let this beautiful product just sit there and left forgotten for years on the PlayStation platform.

Well, what could Media Molecules be working on next? And according to a new report from MP First, the LittleBigPlanet developer is working on an entirely new IP inspired by social simulation games like Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon, with the current plan apparently being to reveal and release it sometime in 2027.

The project is also reportedly separate from the games as a service model that PlayStation has spent years experimenting with.

And honestly, I think that direction makes a lot of sense for this particular studio.

And now the social simulation report starts connecting some of these pieces together.

Animal Crossing is the biggest comparison because it's built around creating a home, you meet characters, you gradually shape a community over time.

And another comparison is Harvest Moon, which later games were inspired by it, adding things like farming and routines and relationships.

Media Molecule could do something really interesting with that structure because customization is really part of that studio's DNA.

According to our sources familiar with the project, Media Molecule's next game is set to be unveiled and released in 2027.

As to what kind of game it is, it's a social simulation type of game, one that's inspired by titles such as Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon.

We are also told it's not a games-as-a-service title, though we wouldn't be shocked if it had games-as-a-service elements in it.

Remember, game development is dynamic and the goalposts do change.

The one I specifically want to talk about is Fields of Mysteria.

Yeah! You know Harvest Moon or Stardew Valley? What if there was another one of those? But, like, with a lot of...

I feel like there's a lot more character dialogue in this one than in Stardew.

And I haven't played Harvest Moon, so I can't talk on that one.

But it's a pretty solid one of those.

I'm like, "All right.

This is, like, way too complicated for me, so I'm just gonna browse these, like, games people make." And some of them were really cool, but they didn't really have the same magic as the, um, LBP games.

So the idea of, like, a Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon-like from Media Molecule, super excited.

I know with Animal Crossing, the last one I really liked, but it was always annoying trying to, like, go to another friend's, like, island.
