BraydenHOST

and I will say too, I think where you're playing the game matters.
BraydenHOST
65:00
And what I mean by that is, are you playing on BGA or online asynchronously? Right? Like I love knit of a leer on BGA because I could just sit there and then math it out.
BraydenHOST
65:13
And I love that.
BraydenHOST
65:15
Like I, that's probably one of my top games on BGA.
BraydenHOST
65:18
Um, And I just kept mathing it out the entire time because I had infinite time.
BraydenHOST
65:26
If I was playing it in person, I think that would change massively.
BraydenHOST
65:29
So even just the medium, I think, completely matters too.
CarloHOST
65:33
Very true.
TomHOST
5:29
Yeah, and it doesn't really work online.
TomHOST
5:32
Like, when we try to play it on, is it BGA we've played it mostly? We've
PaulHOST
5:36
done TTS and BGA.
TomHOST
5:37
I lose track of, like, who's got what, and it just becomes total, like, yeah, you might have the, you know, the countess.
TomHOST
5:44
Yeah.
Clay GableHOST
9:14
Usually I'm on to the next little card game by now, but I'm still enjoying it.
Clay GableHOST
9:19
And I'm playing with you, Travis, on BGA.
Travis SmithHOST
9:22
Yeah, I like it on BGA.
Travis SmithHOST
9:23
I like when you have to guess what's next in the stacks.
Travis SmithHOST
9:27
You pick a stack and you have to guess what card is going to be flipped next.
Clay GableHOST
9:50
Yeah.
Travis SmithHOST
9:50
Except for maybe the win conditions.
Clay GableHOST
9:53
Yeah, I will say on BGA, it is a little tougher to play smart because you don't see what people are picking up and putting down in between turns.
ChrisHOST
37:20
But it's also one where I dislike it enough to where I don't want to play it enough to get to where I like it.
ChrisHOST
37:25
So maybe I might take your tag, Pete, and maybe play some solo on Board Game Arena when I have some time.
ChrisHOST
37:31
And I'm not going to be upset that I just spent however many hours on BGA playing a game I didn't like.
ChrisHOST
37:36
Play a couple games of that and see if it clicks.
PeteHOST
39:50
They play it almost every other week, if not every week when he's in town.
PeteHOST
39:55
and i came over there and i beat them so this is a game that i can actually do pretty good at so um this is my number seven castles of burgundy
ChrisHOST
40:05
yeah i'm gonna limit what i say here because i may be talking about it either probably not on this episode but maybe on the next episode but i will say this pete that whenever i think about this game i want to play it and while you were describing it i just sent you an invitation on board game arena as you were talking For another game.
ChrisHOST
40:24
To be clear, Pete said, hey, sometimes we can crank off a game and have a day.
Brendan RileyHOST
1:28
Clear game.
Brendan RileyHOST
1:29

Brendan RileyHOST
1:35
Gabriel, regular listener, invited me to try it out and I'm really glad he did.
Brendan RileyHOST
1:40
It is a really interesting light engine building game that uses the Civilization A New Dawn, I believe is the game that innovated it.
Brendan RileyHOST
2:42
It's good to have the top game change occasionally.
Brendan RileyHOST
2:45
So I was playing Electrify online, which you should do too.

Ben MandelkerHOST
32:37
I'm in the middle of an async game on BGA with strangers, and it is going very, very slowly, but I don't mind.
Ben MandelkerHOST
32:43
I actually am enjoying it.
Ben MandelkerHOST
32:44

Joey EvansHOST
34:09

Joey EvansHOST

31:00
This is one that you've actually showed me and I thought was amazing.
DanielHOST
31:04
I've actually played both versions of this game, and I prefer this one because I played it physically, while the other one was a hot mess on Board Game Arena.
DanielHOST
31:12
This is Oropa Space from Joong-Hee Choi and Wah-Jin Gil, and also from Plate.
DanielHOST
31:19
It's got... fantastic pieces this is where i'm hammering in the artwork in this one is the pieces of this game are just amazing magnetic boards you're building your board you're giving limited clues to the other player where they're trying to synchronize what you have on your board this way you could be like hey this is my guess this is how the board looks and they'll tell you yes or no uh and then that's pretty much the the game you're basically giving them a letter or number And they're shooting a laser through their system.
