The preseason action for the Buffalo Bills usually has a "just get us through to week 1" feeling to it, but this game against the Panthers seemed to deliver more than usual when it comes to what we…

What did you think about the approach with the ones? And let's start with offense because we knew the ones were going to play.

And we also know that Josh Allen is not exactly the kind of person that you can say, go out there and half-ass it.

And the more I've been thinking about it, it's like, what good does that do him? He has to lather up in getting out of situations.

He's been in training camp where if anybody on that defense gets within five feet of them, they're getting thrown out of practice.

good.
I would say this.
There's caveats to this that I will get into.

how it was handled in the sense of...
So I'm always, why are we even playing these guys? And I will even say Deion and Spencer Brown seem to be more in the going through the motion stages, it felt like, where they were...
handling rushes and things of that nature in a manner that I would say is not up to their standard on a snap by snap basis.
And to me, from an individual perspective, as in from Dion and Spencer looking at their health and well-being getting into the season, I fully embrace that and endorse it.
The caveat of that for this case is you are protecting the franchise.
You probably need to be doing a little bit more than going through the motions if, say, Jalen Phillips is going at you pretty hard on a third down or so.
That's one thing.
I will also say I would never tell a player to go half-ass because if you put, I feel like in professional sports in general, If you put it into the head of a player, of an individual to be cautious and or slow it down a little bit and or, you know, quote unquote, play half assed for your own well-being, for your health, whatever.
