But I chose the, um, 37th psalm for us to discuss today because my doctoral study is emotional intelligence and faith.
Mm-hmm.

And how do we integrate those two, right? So when you all ask for psalms of wisdom, like emotional intelligence, knowing why we do what we do, knowing our needs, knowing our emotional status, right, um, is all about aligning that to God's wisdom.
Mm.

So, um, that's one of the reasons that I chose the 37th psalm, but another reason is when I was reading through it, it's one of the longer psalms, right? And it kinda wraps around you like a blanket.
Mm-hmm.

I'm in Texas, and I still use a heated blanket in the, you know, in the winter.

[laughs] So, uh, pure Texans look at me like I'm crazy, but [laughs] me as it is.
Hey, you do what you gotta do.

E- every time I read it, it just kind of wrapped around me like- Like a promise.

Um, there's a theologian that I absolutely love named Temper Longman, and he describes the 37th Psalm as both wisdom and confidence.
Hmm.

If you, if you look at it, it's balanced in how we approach not only what we're feeling, 'cause it starts right off, it says, "Fret not," right?
Hmm.

But I chose the, um, 37th psalm for us to discuss today because my doctoral study is emotional intelligence and faith.
