For the first time, he declares all creation very good.
And so Adam being humankind.
And I'm just going to read that for clarification, what we're talking about here in Genesis 1.
Which, by the way, I think the creation accounts are where we first want to start when we're talking about what is woman.
How did God create her? What is she to be about? What are her priorities? And we have to start in Genesis because that's the beginning.
We can't skip.
But I wanted to start with this.
Then God said, let us make human kind in our image after our likeness so that they may rule over the fish of the sea and the birds in the air, over the cattle and all the earth and all the creatures that move on the earth.
So he's using the plural again, male and female.
He created them.
God blessed them and said to them, do you think he doesn't want us to miss this? I think that's the point he was trying to make.
Right.
Be fruitful, he said to them.
Be fruitful and multiply.
And the next time, this is good.
