Elections with Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar

Is your system in Nevada like ours in California? I already got my email of your ballot's been mailed.

So you have a tracking system like that, so you're alerted.

I think that's awesome.

I love it.

My husband's like, I got my ballot, and it says the email, and I go, I got mine too.

It's fine.

And then we're like, did yours get counted? Mine got counted.

We're one of the first states to do direct text messaging from the Secretary of State's office.

So if an issue comes up, I can email a subset of voters and be like, hey, this happened, but don't worry, this is what's being done to resolve it.

And the number of opt-outs, we've gotten a minimal number of opt-outs from those text messages.

And The other thing is we used it in 24 to really encourage young people to vote.

So we went through the data, we found the subgroup of voters who were unaffiliated, never voted before, but newly registered, is making sure that they knew the timelines.

And it actually worked.

Nevada had the fourth highest turnout of young voters in the country We were behind Minnesota and Michigan.

But again, we're making an effort to really get up there and to be one of the top states for young voters.

We had Raider Stadium partnered with us.

The Raider Stadium was a voting location.

And it outperformed so many polling locations that Harvard did an analysis.

You took those

Raiders.

We did.

And we also had the A's.

And the A's.

I know.

I know.
