Steve MarshallHost
One of my favorite quotes, and I say it in my first show, is it's never too late to be what you might have been.
You know? And that's why I talk about my family so much, because the man and the singer and the entertainer that people are seeing is based on family, experiences, what I had to learn.
I don't even know who I would be without, you know, my family and those trials or circumstances that shaped me.
What kind of singer, what kind of entertainer would I be, you know? Would it be interested? I- would it be...
Would I have a well when I'm singing a song of connection and I'm really meaning something passionately? What would, what would I be able to be, to draw from?
You know? I'm not an advocate of pain or suffering, but I do think that it can produce something beautiful.
People are just laughing, oh, Steve's funny and he's doing his magic, whatever.
But I, I imagine there's something rooted in that, that makes you do what you do, that's, that makes it special, makes it meaningful, as opposed to I'm just entertaining and I'm just being funny.
