Encanto

Um, in the '80s, the urban cowboy moment.

After that John Travolta movie blew up, suddenly for a few years, folks like Eddie Rabbitt with I Love a Rainy Night.

I love a rainy night.

There you go.

And we finally have data on, you know, what country fans are playing.

And streaming, by the way, does this to all sorts of types of music and genres, you know, whether it's Christmas music, um, kiddie music.

You know, we had a number one hit about four years ago from the movie Encanto.

Oh, sure.

There's more inventiveness in this movie than there has been in the last few Disney and, and I mean this, and Pixar movies.

Yeah, I mean, look, Disney, Encanto was the last good one.

Yeah.

Right?

Well, but you should do it once if you don't have motion sickness issues.

Craig, why don't you tell us about Celebration Encanto?

Yes, this is actually another one of my favorite shows because it's my favorite movie.

And this takes place in a world celebration in the Communicore Plaza area throughout the day.

Um, it is, it's, I wouldn't say it's a really, a retelling of Encanto, but it's about doing the songs.

Uh, there's actually some quizzes involved about the film.

So, you know, quiz master Craig loves that part.

This is another one where the performers are just so good.

And it's thunder and lightning.

Oh, it's like Encanto.

That, exactly.

That is pathetic fallacy in action.

That's what happens to you when you're in Encanto.

Okay.

Vic's were less based, I would say less grounded in fact.

Yeah, we really unfortunately didn't learn too much, but I think it's going to be I think it's going to be pretty cool.

Yeah, and speaking of things that you're going to want to live in, the Encanto ride, just bringing it back to that is probably the last thing that I was super excited about, just hearing more about what that was going to be like, and the whole cast was coming back to do the audio for it.

I just think it's, you know how much we love Encanto and the music of Encanto, and Lin-Manuel Miranda is just so wonderful in this movie, from the soundtrack perspective of this movie.

We had some problems with how some things shook out Grandma got off too

easy, I swear.

And I think one of the things that I've always been so concerned about is like as they just drop these new IPs into the parks over and over that we lose some of the older characters and IPs that made Disney what it is.

You know what I mean? I've always had this fear moving forward that, like, we lose the Cinderella and the Snow White and the, you know, Alice in Wonderland, for example, and that we move completely towards Moana and Frozen and Inside Out and Encanto, which are, you know, that's the time period that we live in, but I don't know.

Those are the things that made Disney like figment is Epcot in a lot of ways.

And I don't want to lose sight of that.

Now the tropical Americas, we've been looking at bio reconstruct pictures of them building the, you know, casita and working on the Indiana Jones traction.

I thought that when I looked at the last updates for the, um, for the Encanto attraction that it was going to be like, it's way, I can't imagine it would be ready in 2027.

So for Monstropolis, they're doing a stair-step thing where the Monster Coaster won't open in 2027, but they've already literally told us 2027 is the year that the rest of that land opens up.

Great.

Hey, we're on ship number nine.

Might as well change things up a little bit, right? Well, Disney has also confirmed that Encanto, Frozen, Snow White, The Little Mermaid, and Moana will help inspire venues and entertainment decisions on board.

So who's going to get that big Broadway-style treatment on stage? And Disney is still holding back a lot of this information.

We don't yet know the Believe's maiden voyage date, any of its itineraries, restaurants, or its entertainment lineup.
