College Football Week 3: 3 BEST BETS

Let me get my Friday night game open.

8 p.m. Eastern, No. 22 Houston heads to Lubbock, Texas as 7.5-point underdogs.

Number 13, Texas Tech.

Total is 50 and a half.

And look, I already gave this out for free on wagertalk.com because I was late to the party.

I'm sitting there at the Hard Rock on Sunday.

I see the Todd Furman tweets that this is sitting at nine and a half.

And I was like, ooh, I should grab this.

And then I grabbed a margarita instead.

All jokes aside, that is what happens sometimes.

You snooze, you lose.

But I still do like...

Houston in this spot.

Kind of one of those weird scenarios that Marco likes to talk about when two teams have played the same team.

A plus B does not always equal C, but I think in this case it does.

If you remember, Houston beat Oregon State week one, held the Beavers to just 26 rushing yards.

Then Texas Tech went to Corvallis a week later and it got spicy.

I have the under 10.5 wins for Texas Tech if you guys are a wager talk client of mine or if you checked it out over there on my profile.

And I thought, boy, oh, boy, I did not have Tech losing to Oregon State on my bingo card when taking that team under their season win total.

They gave up 472 yards to the Beavers.

Now, this is a Red Raiders team I told you guys was going to be a little overhyped.

with all the offseason drama, especially the one involving Brendan Sorsby.

And I think now we know why they fought so hard for him after seeing Will Hammond last week.

They also have a couple injuries on the tech side of the ball, Terrence Carter and their edge rusher, Trey White.

We will see if they are available come game time.
