Trey White

But then there was just the mounting hits on Fafita, the pressure that you were getting to him.

Some people would like to make you believe that it was the late hit from Trey White that jarred Fafita and messed him up.

It was a dumb play by Trey White, right? Like, he wasn't even close to being on time for that hit.

And the replay from the field level, like, he kind of led with his helmet a little bit.

And still, like... mainly missed Fafita.

Interesting to note, at least to me, because I know we were all about trying to get Wendell Gregory, the Oklahoma State defensive end, to get to transfer here to Texas Tech.

He is at three and a half sacks on the season.

You know who's right behind him at three sacks? Trey White.

But he blitzed John Curry a bunch.

He used Trey White as a spy.

He's got this piece, Le Damien Guyton, that is probably...

You theoretically would love to be able to use him on every single play, but he's a 17-year-old kid that can't even vote that is trying to still figure this whole thing out.

It was like, this was his kind of game.

It's like, uh, you know, he's like a, a mobile QB or an extend to play QBs nightmare.

Cause it's like, but Trey white was the keep them in the pocket guy, uh, and then it's like if if i can make him a bit uncertain then my man ladamian will get there and that's that's just kind of played out sometimes i thought this was we've been asked last week maybe like hey what portal upgrades did you ultimately have i feel like you missed on all the things um and i get the fair questions and all that but but this was uh can we can we give a little shout out to austin romaine

love to

So that is playing a role in the way the numbers look there.

Sacks from Trey White, LeDamian Guyton of the Red Raiders defense.

And just like that, in the blink of an eye, Arizona's facing a third and 12 from their own six-yard line.

Fafita looking to take off and throw.

But, man, he's gained an experience with every week.

And the more that you can use him and maybe spell Trey White a little bit, keeps both those guys fresh and going after the quarterback and trying to contain the quarterback and all those kinds of things.

I think he's your best rush end already as a true freshman.

Okay.

And I'm sure we'll talk about that a little bit as well.

And Jordan just provided so much insight, like with Trey White signing, what he's going to bring to the table.

Not even so much on the field, just the communications.

Like Jordan really hit home the fact that the communication is just not there.

So hopefully, you know, Brady and Leonard were able to – figure something out about this defense.

And, I mean, I don't know.

You mentioned Jordan Poyer talking about Trey White coming in and what he's going to add.

Yeah.

They lost everybody.

Trey White moves on.

Other guys transferred on.

They've been terrible this year defensively, and that was kind of a calling card for them last year.

And now here's a stunning stat about state's defense.

They had four guys go to power for schools last year.

Yeah, big time, Trey White was one of them and for seven figures.

Guys who had 31 of San Diego State's 32 sacks last year did not return, either due to the transfer portal or graduation.
