Mike MehlmannGuestJordanHostyeah that makes a lot of sense and that brings us straight into part one of the seven part weather system just for you guys reference the seven parts we're going to get into number one is temperature as mike mentioned he calls it the master factor next will be wind light pressure sky rain and moon these will be the seven parts of weather that we're going to break down i'll let you go straight back into it mike take over on temperature

yes this is the most important again this is the master factor and it's the relative temperature trend and this is where it's tricky and this is where we've worked for the initial three years of the company we spent a lot of time perfecting our detection of water temp in the top 10 feet of the water column for any GPS in the world.

It takes a long time for average water temp to reach average day and nighttime air temp.

And that is part of our formula for those anglers out there who have ever experienced a three or four day massive warming trend in the U.S. And I'm sure most of you have.

I mean, that really gets the pre-spawn bite going, right? and think about ourselves as human beings.

If we're cooped up all winter, it's 32 degrees, that first 55 degree day feels awesome, right? Three days of that in a row and people are gonna be out and about.

But if it's summertime and it's 80, 85, and all of a sudden it drops to 50, you feel chilly.
That makes a lot of sense.
So can you expand on, you said the top 10 feet of the water column.
Expand on exactly why that's the key.

But that is where most feeding occurs, in that top 10 feet of the water column.

A bass may live at 15, 20 feet deep, and they'll come up to feed in that area.

Surprisingly, we have a Lunker Club program where we track giant bass over the course of six years now.

It might even be close to 80% are caught in 10 feet of water or less, which is incredible.
Yeah, I don't know if I would have guessed that.
That's really cool.
