Lake Hartwell

We're driving.

We're, my buddy picked me up from the airport, and we're driving here to, to Seneca, which is kind of, uh, close to Greenville, and there's this, uh, Hartwell Lake, and it's kind of like, you know, there's bridges and you cross across these pieces of lake and stuff like that, and he's like, "Look.

Look at the water level.

Look how low it is." And you, I'm looking as he, as we're going over the, the bridge, and dude, it's like low.

Razorbacks have been getting their taste.

And that's a good football program up there off exit one before Lake Hartwell.

But they beat West Oak.

He calls them West Choke.

Yeah.

What are your thoughts about the way the schedule, the new schedule was released this past week here and going to start out in Florida at Okeechobee and the Kissimmee chain with back-to-back weeks down there mid-February and then after the Classic, which you'll be fishing at Lake Hartwell.

After that, the Sabine River, which is always a grinder and Lake Fork, which is like a reward for fishing in the Sabine River that you get to go fish for it.

And then, of course, Seminole, Santee Cooper, the 10-time a little later in the year than what you guys did this year, and then up north for St. Clair and the Mississippi River.

Accomplishes that goal.

If he wins the tournament, he qualifies for the Bassmaster Classic coming up on Lake Hartwell.

Accomplishes that goal.

And in the process, which I think has totally been lost...

And to start, it's two February derbs, both in Florida on Okeechobee and then the Kissimmee chain, so back-to-back.

You have your Classic in March on Lake Hartwell.

April, you have two derbs in April, and that's their Texas month, if you will.

We have the Sabine River.

For the fifth time, we are going to South Carolina.

Yeah, Lake Hartwell, what a place that is, uh, lured in bass history now.

Maybe not for the biggest bass, Tommy, but by far one of the best tournament venues-

They've got everything there.

The Classic, Lake Hartwell, March 19th through the 21st.

Three days of fishing there.

Uh, Robert Anderson was also later a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, so they wanted to honor him that way and name this area Anderson after him.

Now, the county Anderson is bordered to the west by the Savannah River, and it also contains Lake Hartwell.

So Anderson County, and I had to, I had to fact check this.

I was like, "No way." Anderson County boasts over 1,100 miles of shoreline.

That's not...

But Lake Hartwell's over 50,000 acres itself, and it's-

Lake Hartwell's nice.

Winning $100,000 at the St. Lawrence River.

Evan Kung secures his spot on the Elites and also a spot in the Classic, which will be at Lake Hartwell in March.

And by the way, not for nothing, but he was 29th the last time last year when they went to Harwell.

So that was a good finish as well, making the cut easily at Harwell.
