If you look at it, you know, did you ever

watch House of Cards? And I know it's with Kevin Spacey and the whole thing.

I mean, I wonder what it would be like now.

I don't even know if it's out now.

And this movie, it's from Grant Heslov, who's George Clooney's friend and fellow filmmaker.

And this movie has Ewan McGregor, George Clooney, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Spacey, Nick Offerman, Stephen Root, Stephen Lang, and just the character work alone in this is so great that there's so many fun, memorable characters in this movie.

And, you know, some of the most, like, it certainly has tonal issues because it goes from, like, this silly kind of, like, weird story about this offset of the military, and then it does get really kind of heavy dealing with military industrial complex and effects like experimentation on soldiers has and stuff like that but George Clooney and Jeff Bridges in this movie are so excellent Jeff Bridges as this guy who goes on like this six year hippie journey to come back to the military and start this and he's just the most Jeff Bridges character you're gonna find it's just so it's a such a strange movie and it's quite funny at times it has a couple affecting moments too and has great needle drops and it's one of those weird quirky movies that didn't work at all but certainly works a decent amount to make it a fun time um like i said i don't think i think grant teslav has a very uneven track record as a filmmaker and him and george clooney i guess in general both of them together do but like this is just one of those like i remember when this movie came out and i saw all the people in it same and this the concept of it i'm like they stare at goats until they stop a goat's heart strange idea it was such a fun time re-watching that last night

i watched that movie when it came out it was so fun like exactly only on the same page like it's not a perfect movie but it's a fun movie also so the title of men who started goats In Czech, the word goat, kozy, is a slang term for boobs.

In a sense.

They did that with, when you look at House of Cards, for instance, when Kevin Spacey's character, Frank Underwood, he would often turn to the camera and say these very cold lines, but he would get you in on his plans.

So it's like a weight sits with you.

It's like, am I kind of to blame? Yeah.

Um, we used to do a lot of work with Phil Ramone and we became friends over the years.

Um, and it fills Memorial, uh, Kevin Spacey, who had starred in the Bobby Darin movie, and this was before Kevin got canceled.

This was when he was still a big star and a lot of fans.

He got up there to talk about Phil and talk about working at Abbey Road.

But since we mentioned 9-11, let's just play Larry Silverstein on a PBS documentary that was narrated by another nice fellow.

You know, the guy that hosted House of Cards, Kevin Spacey.

And here he is talking about getting the order to pull it and watch the building come down.

And then we've got a little comedy piece.

His performance in this movie is incredible.

I think this was the year that Kevin Spacey won, and I'm like, man, that's a cursed award win in hindsight, but it's like, man, he would have just cleaned up if everyone knew he was sick, but Very much like the character he's playing, he kind of kept that close to his chest and didn't want to reveal that.

Very excited to get into this movie.
