The news of the world is fascinating, and I want to begin with international affairs.
I want you all to be aware that I believe that Vladimir Putin is an absolute dictator.
As a result, if he were to give an order to hit, if you will, uh, with nuclear weapons, his orders would be followed.
Now the question becomes, can you fight a limited nuclear war? And I'm going to answer you with a shocking answer.
Let me remind you that when the United States chose to use the atomic bomb for the first time at Hiroshima and again at Nagasaki, we fought a limited nuclear war.
But I do want you to understand we fought a limited nuclear war with a limited objective, and that was to knock the Japanese out of World War II, and that is precisely what we did.
You can fight a limited nuclear war, and that, my friends, is the ultimate tragedy in the atomic age.
Now why am I mentioning this? Because we are ignoring, generally speaking, the situation in Ukraine.
This war is escalating, and let me explain that it is not just Russia that is involved.
Many of the nations of Eastern Europe fear Vladimir Putin, and they believe that a war, a nuclear war of a limited nature is possible under his leadership.
This, my friends, is the great international existential threat today when it comes to the war in Ukraine.
Can you imagine if Vladimir Putin chose to use and successfully executed a plan to use limited nuclear engagement with Ukraine? Let me remind you that under the Budapest Agreement, which was signed in nineteen ninety-five, Ukraine, which had the third-largest nuclear arsenal in the world, gave it up in return for a guarantee from the United States, Great Britain, and Russia itself that there would be no territorial seizing of land in Ukraine.
And now, my friends, here we are in two thousand twenty-six, and we cannot guarantee the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
And indeed, we face a serious crisis because if the Ukraine situation is not managed properly, we could have a serious nuclear disaster on our hands.
