"God, who at s- various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds." Now, um, from this passage, we can deduce that God spoke and God has spoken, and we can also say God is speaking.
He said, "God, who spoke in time past through the prophets, has in these last days spoken." So He spoke, He has spoken, and He's still speaking.

[laughs] So God spoke a time past, and in the Bible you notice that God is portrayed as a speaking God.
The, the phrase, "And God said" appears in the first chapter of the Bible about eight to 10 times, "And God said," letting us know that we are serving a speaking God.
And that when you look to the Bible, uh, you will see that the major difference that God puts, you know, God, when God is talking about idols, idols, He will say things like, "These idols, they are dumb.
They have mouth, but they can't speak." You know, and then, and that is to let you know that we serve a speaking God.
It said, "The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
They have ears, but they do not hear, nor is there any breath in their mouths." So these idols, they can't speak, and that is, that is what God is saying, that, that, that is, that is one thing that you can, uh, uh, you can use to differentiate between the God we serve and the god other people serve.
Now, in this passage that we read in Hebrews 1, it says that, um, God spoke in the Old Testament through the prophets, through the prophets.
