What the heck is going on with the world? [laughs] So over the past few weeks, months, I've been sitting with all the hot culture stories coming out, right? Um, and I say story very specifically because nothing is news anymore.

It's not a report on fact, right? It's a push towards some subjective interpretation that someone somewhere wants me to feel some certain way, think a certain way, and believe certain things based on their motives, right? And so Lindsay Clancy, Sydney Sweeney, Cornell, Ukraine, Israel, [laughs] everything, right? And just...

I have a sense that I wanna comment on some of these events, but I've been holding off because I've just been feeling like, no, I, I, I do not want my nervous system to be hijacked by people that don't care about me, right? And I've been sitting with it, and I've been sitting with it, and I'm really looking forward to just sharing kind of what I've come to.

And my intention for this video too is to help you calm your nervous system and just come on back to, like, a neutral place about all the craziness in the world.

And first point here is if you notice all of these different culture stories, what do they all have in common? Well, they either fall under the category of death or sex, okay? Because these two things attack our, like, primal nervous systems.

They, they hijack our sense of survival, our sense of safety, our sense of peace, um, our sense of the future.

[laughs] So instead, for the last couple weeks, I've been reading folk tales and myth.

I've been into, uh, Martin Buber's book on the Baal Shem Tov, which has been really beautiful.

Been having all these great debates with friends of all backgrounds and religions.

My God, some of my favorite conversations lately are with my Catholic friends, so it's just so fun talking to Catholics about philosophy and religion and God and it's just been really fun.

And so I've been kinda sitting with, okay, so what, what is the big-picture thing? What is going on here? And how do we come to the conclusion of what's going on with the world in a way that gives us our sovereignty and our peace and connects us with other people and creates a sense of just mental wellness, right? As opposed to mental instability, which is a lot, a, a lot of times what the powers at, you know, at play want you to do.
